NIGERIA IS ANOTHER WORLD IN THE WORLD

Time proceeds. It moves and moves with those who want to and are willing to move. Time has no mortal ruler, it can’t be governed, it’s either you come to terms with it or remain stagnant and backward. Time is the reason why we hasten our footsteps to meet up with our scheduled plan; it is the reason why some people are described as smart. Time is the womb of success and failure, time is free, priceless and uncontrolled; it is on time that we have our motion, so without time the world won’t be, without it there will be no history, without it there will be no present, past, nor the future. Without time Nigeria won’t be 52.
Nigeria is 52. This is jubilee. If Nigeria where to be a man, he probably might have some adults as children, not just children, responsible children, children who can stand on their feats and make things happen, but Nigeria is a country with more than one hundred and seventy million people, it is a country with much resources, Nigeria is a nation that is supposed to have some responsible children who should be willing to stand and defend her territory and make her a proud mother in the African continent. And Nigeria has responsible children. All over the world there are Nigerians. Most great universities in the world has great lecturers from Nigeria, Nigeria is an exporter of greatness, there are Nigerians I England, U.S.A, Spain, Jamaica, etc. and I am tempted to say Nigeria is the world, Nigeria, the world? Somebody’s tempted to ask. Yes the world, not because the world is in it, but because it is represented everywhere in the world.
Is it that the human resources in this country have been producing excessive labour or are been under used, or over used with lesser pay; what is it that is driving my brothers outside the shores of this nation? Is it that the country has attained and it wants others to also attain? Do our universities rate highest among league of great universities, or is our educational sector so solid hat we don’t need more professional?  Have we reached the peak in terms of good primary health care services; our villages, do they have wonderful and superb hospitals? Does every Nigerian eat at least three times in a day? Is it that we have an essential food security?
Are our industries world class? Do we have an interrupted power supply? How about our political structure; how strong is it? Is it fair to the masses? Are Nigerians willing to be governed; I mean, do they have love and passion for the laws and constitutions of the land?
Why are we not keeping our genius, why can’t we keep them to help better the lots of our pride? Like it or live it, Nigeria is our pride, it lives in us, it lives in me. And I won’t be wrong to say I am Nigeria. I am Nigeria, so I know the pain of this nation, I also know the joy of it and I have an idea of its upliftment, what can make it a better nation. I have an idea of what the future is from the present situation and what it will look like if some measures are taken; I know the future will be better and brighter if we learn from the past.

DOES OUR PASSION REALLY CONTROL OUR BEHAVIOR?

This was what came out of my mouth after listening to an old woman that has a daughter but presently don’t know her where about due to her wild reaction years back. It happens that when the daughter was 17 years she tutored her to coma simply because she met her in the company of a boy but instead of comprehensive education it was combat all the way which leads to a state of coma but thanks to God she was revived on getting to the hospital. After a lot of blame she was sober and this made her to open the memory book of what happened to her when she was 17, how her father batted and persuaded her into bad behavior because she was going to church which brought her about been impregnated by unknown person and how the same father of her threw her out of the house and how life became hell for her until God intervened. This was while she was so furious sighting her only daughter in the arm of a boy. But it was rather unfortunate because at the time of there discussion right still on the hospital bed the doctor brought the results he had carried out on the girl when she was in coma which includes pregnancy test that was positive. On hearing the result she (the mother) started beating and biting the daughter right on the sick bed, with the help of the nurses around she was able to gain her breathe and ran out of the hospital when the nurses were trying to take the mother to the doctor’s office, since then going to 9 years now she hasn’t set her eyes on the daughter.
And when I asked her what prompted her to react in such a wild manner, she said it was due to her passion to train her daughter to any level of education because she doesn’t have the opportunity.
Now I ask myself ‘Does our passion really control our behavior?’ .
